Governors Island Scavenger Hunt

Governors Island has a long and rich history.  Now open to the public during summers, it provides the perfect setting for visitors to learn the military, cultural, and ecological history of Governors Island, New York Harbor, and the Hudson River.

Our Scavenger Hunt exploration program takes visitors around the Historic District of Governors Island and includes moderate physical activity and teamwork.  Using their map-reading and critical-thinking skills, participants answer clues about the ecology and history of the local area.

Governors Island visitors sign up for the Urban Environment scavenger hunt.
